In the Haute Pyrenees, directly next to the ski slopes, is the village of Gourette. Gourette, located in the Ossau valley is a somewhat smaller ski resort, but has all the modern conveniences.

Around the Col de l'Aubique are the slopes of Gourette. Almost all ski runs have a wonderful view of the Vallee d'Ossau. Especially the long descent to Pene Blanque of no less than 4 miles is a gem. On Thursday you can also go skiing at night at the Plateau in Gourette!

There is a snow park of about 8000 m2 for snowboarders in Gourette, and the boardercross that descends more than 400 ms is also very popular among snowboarders.
