Ski holidays in Flaine
Flaine is one of the ski holiday destinations in Le Grand Massif skiing area in the middle of the Haute Savoie in France. The pedestrianized village is built out of mainly white houses, and therefore has a quite an odd appearance for a ski village. But make no mistake, Flaine has all the ingredients for a great winter sports holiday. The village is very easy to reach, and its location midway between the slopes is perfect!
Slope information Le Grand Massif - Flaine
The area is one of the largest winter sports areas in the world, and connect the slopes around Flaine with those of Giffré (Morillon, Samoëns, Sixt).
In addition to very broad ski slopes the ski resort also offers the trips through beautiful forests around the villages. Le Grand Massif probably has one of the longest blue runs in the world, the Cascade. This descent has almost 15 km of uninterrupted decline!

Flaine has a nice night with a very nice Irish Pub called the "White Grouse Pub", and there is also a Dutch pub called the "Flying Dutchman" both of them are an absolute must!

With 3 snowparks, a halfpipe, several quarterpipes and a fantastic boardercross, this area offers enough, even for the most demanding snowboarders.

With no fewer than eleven ski schools, Flaine seems richly endowed, but actually there are only two large ski schools: The ESF, French ski school (esf-flaine.com), and the ESI, the international ski school (flaine-internationalskischool.com).
