The Alpe d'Huez ski resort is fantastic for advanced skiers because of the large number of black slopes. These are easily accessible by the modern ski lifts, and by a small cable-train. This ski area includes one of the longest black slopes in the world: the Sarene-slope. With a non-stop descent of nearly 17 km, the Sarene ensures that you have a nice long and uninterrupted descent! Another black ski run, the Champagne is also very worthwhile. The long blue ski Signal is recommended for beginners and advanced skiers, this takes you from the top of the signal below the village of Villard-Reculas. There are also countless off-piste possibilities in Alpe d'Huez, with some lovely descents in deep snow. The pure off-piste ski resort La Grave is easily accessible from Alpe d'Huez.
