Close to Albertville, home of the Olympic Games of 1992, in the Savoie, is Arêches-Beaufort. In the "Beaufortain" area (between the Parc National Vanoise and Mont Blanc) is a small ski resort that is formed by Arêches and Beaufort;two villages that have grown into one another. The area also includes the modern, but small ski village Le Planay. Due to the beautiful nature and the adjacent natural park this area is a favorite! In addition, the village is equipped with the so-called "Family-Plus-Montagne" label, meaning that it is one of the most suitable destinations for families with children in France.
