Good selection of pistes at the 3 major stations of Brevent?Flegere, Le Tour/Balme and Les Grands Montets. The terrain is great for off piste riders, but a lot of routes from the top of Grands Montets and Aiguille du Midi require a guide. Les Houches has the best snow park. The Mont Blanc Unlimited Pass currently includes Curmayeur, Italy (free bus each ady) and Verbier, Swizerland (Bus 22 euros rtn runs each Thursday).
Chamonix Sud is reasonably priced and good for Aprés Ski but poor for families.

There's very little apres ski straight off the slopes, a bus into central cham is necessary from most ski areas but once in town the nightlife is fab. Les Houches is a great base for families but there is also skiing in all areas for young children. Chamonix has some of the worlds best off piste, get a guide to fully appreciate it.
