La Parva ski resort is located about 40km from the capital Santiago in Chile. La Parva ski area is part of the Tres Valles along with the ski resorts El Colorado and Valle Nevado. La Parva is known as a luxury ski resort, which attracts the affluent Chilean winter sports fans from Santiago. Hotels and apartments are available in good variety, with a number of international restaurants in the village center. The ski season in La Parva usually lasts from June to September.

La Parva itself has 30 different runs together totaling 38km in length (nearly 1000 acres). The vertical drop of the slopes is significant, no less than 960 meters. The runs are beautiful, often with stunning views of Santiago. The majority of the runs are intermediate (red slope). For the real experts are also wonderful off-piste descents, including La Chimenea a beautiful, open off-piste descent close to the prepared runs.
