Ski holidays in El Colorado

El Colorado ski resort is located in the Tres Valles (3 valleys) in Chile. El Colorado-Farellones ski resort, as it is also known is located 35 km (about one hour drive) from the Chilean capital Santiago. Because of its location so close to Santiago (and of course the airport in Santiago) and the size of the El Colorado ski area this makes El Colorado one of the most popular ski resorts in Chile. Accommodation is available in wide variety of hotels, lodges and apartments. An ideal ski holiday destination for the whole family!

Slope information El Colorado - El Colorado

The ski resort of El Colorado Farellones consists of two separate ski areas which are linked together. El Colorado has around 1100 hectares of ski terrain, and Farellones adds another 200 acres to this. The area has 80 slopes, which are diverse and offer plenty of challenge for every skill level skier or snowboarder. The area is particularly attractive for beginners with dozens of relatively easy runs. Farellones also has a snow tubing slope. The season runs from June to October in El Colorado.

Snowboarding El Colorado

El Colorado has a large fun park, with 33 modules and eight big jumps. In addition to that Farellones also has a small fun park for freestyle snowboarders and skiers with another eight modules, three jumps and a boardercross of 250 meters.

Skischools El Colorado

There are three major ski schools in the area Ski El Colorado - Farellones; Escuala Ski & Snowboard El Colorado, Escuala Ski & Snowboard Los Zorros and Escuala Ski & Snowboard Farellones. Throughout the season there are also a large number of international ski instructors working in El Colorado ski so classes in English or even German, French or Swedish are certainly possible!
