Sunshine Village Ski Resort is located in Alberta in Canada. Sunshine Village is located in Banff National Park. It?s easy to reach from the airport of Calgary (about 90 minutes). The Sunshine Village ski area, combined with Bannf-Norquay and Sunshine Village is called SKI Big 3. The two villages of Banff and Lake Louise, both have an excellent bus service to Sunshine Village.

The ski slopes of Sunshine Village are a dream for the advanced and expert skiers. Beginners have a number of beautiful tracks, but if you have more experience, you're more in your place here. For experts, there is a huge variety of black ski slopes, with the absolute coolest spot being the Mountain Goats Eye, one of the top descents in the entire Canada. It gets 914 cm natural snow each year, plus the uncountable snow cannons that keep the ski slopes in good condition (more than double compared to the neighboring area Lake Louise!). The area has many so-called powder bowls, where the ski runs are not prepared, but if you ski or board there you can enjoy delicious fresh snow.

Snowboarding Sunshine Village

The funpark in Sunshine Village is Rogers Terrain Park, which has more than 20 modules and obstacles and is a challenge for any freestyle snowboarder. Obstacles include several high-jumps, table tops and a pyramid.

Skischools Sunshine Village

The Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard School is a huge group of qualified ski and snowboard instructors, giving private and group lessons. For children there are a number of special ski learning programs: The Tiny Tigers Ski & Play package, where children from 3 to 6 years team-up in groups of up to 3 in the morning and in the afternoon for a 1 hour ski lesson, and for the rest of the day enjoy all sorts of fun activities in the day care center. The Kids Kampus is a package where children from 6 to 12 years old enjoy a one week program for ski or snowboarding learning. For Ladies only, the Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard school has a fun program, he Salomon Women Will Ladies Camp that is held three times a year by and for women of 18 +.
