Ski Area Sun Peaks Resort is located near the town of Kamloops in British Columbia in Canada. The ski resort is only changed name in 1993 to Sun Peaks, before it was known as Tod Mountain. Thanks to the acquisition by a Japanese company, the ski area expanded and a number of modern lifts and connections. The name of the ski resort is lived up to fully, with more than 2,000 hours of sunshine per year allowing you to work on your tan. Besides the great winter sports facilities, the ski area is also great for families with children thanks to the family-friendly accommodation and entertainment in the village.

The ski slopes of Sun Peaks Resort are spread over three different mountain flanks: Sundance Mountain, Mount Morrisey and Todd Mountain. The longest run is on Tod Mountain and is about 8km long. In total there are 122 different ski runs. The Sun Peaks ski resort also has 12 different Glades (open sections through the forest) and 2 Snow Bowls (a mountain bowl with unprepared slopes). For the absolute ski cracks, there's Nancy Greene Race Center, where national teams are doing downhill training at the various disciplines.

Freestyle boarders will find a great choice of options in Sun Peaks resort. There are three different terrain parks (fun parks) with one especially for beginners, one for advanced and one for the real freestyle experts.

The Sun Peaks Sports School provides ski, snowboard, telemark and cross-country lessons. The ski resort Sun Peaks offers special attention to children: the ski school has a kids? club, childcare is ensured for the youngest and cool ski and snowboard packages are offered for youngsters. Even downhill skiers and snowboarders can upgrade their skills level in the local race center.
