Cypress Mountain ski resort is located in the North Shore Mountains in British Columbia in Canada, near the big city of Vancouver. Cypress Mountain is one of the locations of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. All snowboard and freestyle skiing events take place here. Because of its location, in Cypress Provincial Park less than 40 minutes drive from Vancouver, the site is considered to be more part of the city as the site of Mount Whistler where most ski events take place.

Cypress Mountain is a cool ski resort, with a great variety in downhill skiing and boarding. From the ski slopes you often have a beautiful view of Vancouver and the bay of city. Cypress Mountain has more than 50 ski runs. Most of these descents are on the flanks of the Black Mountain. The longest ski slope is 4.1 km long (2.5 miles) - the T33-slope which leads into the Collins-slope. You can also go skiing or snowboarding in the evenings in this ski area because a big portion of the ski slopes and half pipes / freestyle sections have night lighting.

For snowboarders, Cypress Mountain is great! Because the resort is the host of the official snowboard events of the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010 the half pipe and superpipe are awesome. The freestyle terrain park is very extensive with sections for beginners, advanced and absolute experts.
