Snowboarding in Czech Republic

    Czech Republic has developed extensively in the last few years to become a popular international winter holiday destination. Czech Republic is not exactly focused on snowboarders in all different ski resorts however. In total there might be 40 or so fun parks across the country, but quality varies.

    Snowboarding in Harrachov

    

    On the slopes of Harrachov are some decent snowboarding possibilities. There are three wide slopes where beginning snowboarders can learn their first few lessons. Not all ski lifts are allowed for snowboarders. The more experienced boarders are done in a few days here, but there is a great boarderpark outside Harrachov, on about 10km drive that is definately worthwhile.

    Snowboarding in Splyndruv Mlyn

    

    The Splyndruv Mlyn skiresort is a lot moe professional and bigger in many ways compared to Harrachov. There are a number of Fun Parks in Splyndruv Mlyn; Funstorm snowpark, Billabong snowpark en Snowpark Hromovka. Not all three parks are that big, but int total the possibilities for snowboarders are perfect. All ski lifts are also allowed for snowboarders here. It is much busier in Splyndruv Mlyn, so this can sometimes make waiting times at the ski lifts a bit longer. Especially around christmas time there is a good pack of snow in Splyndruv Mlyn.

    A few kilometers from Splyndruv Mlyn is the smaller ski resort of Herlikovice. This winter resort also has a small funpark. The size of the park is not extensive (no halfpipe for example), but is much quieter on the slopes here compared to Splyndruv Mlyn. If you are vacationing in Splyndruv Mlyn we would definately recommend a day-trip to Herlikovice.
