
Just as in France, Switzerland also has a Quality label for a child-friendly ski resorts. These family-focused ski holiday destination can be recognised by the 'Families Welcome' label, which is published by the Swiss Tourism Federation (STF).
The requirements that these child-friendly ski resorts must meet, are both in the facilities and services offered in the ski village. The facilities that must be present for families: At least one playground, walking trails that are accessible for a baby stroller, at least one indoors activity for when the weather is bad. Several child-friendly hotels, and 15 child-friendly apartments. The services that are focused on the family should include an childrens animation programme of three days per week, family-friendly restaurants, children's babysitter or babysitters.
Of course, there are also a number of winter sports-related demands placed on the Families Welcome label: There must be a kids ski school, a separate place around the ski slopes which is aimed at children and at least one other winter attraction. (Skating rink, toboggan nights etc.)
