When you are in this city, make sure you visit the real IJskasteel Lumilinna. This castle, made entirely of snow and built each year, from late January to mid-April (when the weather permits) opened. The route starts in Kuusamo, near the eastern border, and ends in the town of Haparanda in Sweden, just across the western border of Finland.
