Zell am See has been part of the Sportregion together with Kaprun since 1966. Winter sports in this area offer something for everyone. In both Zell am See and Kaprun the apres-ski options are very extensive. The glacier makes that you can still ski here in the heart of summer. Cross country skiers also love this area with 200 kilometers to cross. As a part of the village is free of cars, you can walk around the village deliciously. For the advanced skier or snowboarder, there are certainly enough challenging slopes.
