The ski area Wildschönau is located in the Tirol region in Austria. Wildschönau is formed of the 4 small villages Niederau, Oberau, Muhltal-Thierbach and Auffach. In this area you're assured of good snow conditions and many hours of sunshine. Relaxation and joy are guaranteed. There are some small practice areas and lifts for beginners and spicy slopes for the real cracks. One big advantage is that all the slopes eventually return to the same place, what makes the area more suitable for families with small children.

Slope information Wildschönau - Wildschönau

The ski area of Wildschönau offers 75km slopes and 60km cross-country trails. The area is divided in three smaller areas Markbachjoch, Schatzberg and Oberau. The SchatzbergBahn is the largest collection of ski slopes in the Wildschonau area and most visitors come here to enjoy a day or week in the snow. Even the advanced skiers are challenged on the Schatzberg with a tiefschnee-slope (powder!), a world cup downhill and a super slalom. The maintenance of the ski slopes receives extra attention to the Schatzberg and around the Markbachjoch and thanks to this they have received the 'Ski slopes in great condition seal'.

Snowboarding Wildschönau

There is a very nice funpark and boardercross in Niederau and at the Thalerkoglbahn, in the area of Schatzberg there is also a fun snowpark for novice snowboarders.
