Ski holidays in Sölden

In the Ötztal Arena in Tyrol, Ski Resort Sölden is one of the absolute best destinations for a skiing holiday in Austria. Sölden is also the largest and most famous ski resort of the Ötztal and is connected to the slightly quieter Hochsölden. Sölden has great snow reports throughout the year as it is one of the ski resorts located the highest within all of Europe (1370m - 3257m). Sölden further has beautiful slopes and the snow continues to be present down into the village-centre. The village around the Giggijochbahn (one of the lifts) is known for apres-ski for young and old. Sölden comes highly recommended especially if you are looking for a great nightlife!

The ski area is very versatile. In addition to all the standard features, Ötztal offers 2 glacier areas and spicy mogul runs. Most of the slopes are average in terms of difficulty. There are some very spicy off-slope areas, but these are the playground for experts only.

Few ski resorts in the world can match the apres-ski in Sölden. The Apres-ski starts around 15:00 here! In the Freizeit Arena, you can enjoy just about everything you can think of, for a day if you are not skiing, and the center is full of cozy restaurants and bars! If you're skiing down, you can join in one of the great carousel-shaped bars immediately or under one of the huge outside-parasols with apres-ski music. The nightlife? International DJs, foreign artists and a endless night, at Almrausch, Fire&Ice or one of the other venues - Sölden is fantastic!
