Ski holidays in Schladming

Travel Report Schladming Between Christmas and New Year 2011, we stayed in Austria's Schladming, the host of the upcoming 2013 World Cup skiing

The ski holiday village of Schladming lies in the ski resort Dachstein Tauern in the Styria region. At the foot of the ski slopes there is a green forest with thick conifers surrounding Schladming, in the flat Ennstal Valley. Schladming has a beautiful old village centre that has a charming atmosphere.

Slope information Dachstein-Tauern - Schladming

There is a wide and diverse range of slopes. (More than 150 kilometers), but Dachstein Tauern is best known for the ultimate cross-country run places. The cross-country ski area covers more than 350 kilometers.

Apres ski in Schladming

Nestled around the compact village of Schladming you'll find most of the entertainment. For a pleasant conversation while enjoying a good glass of wine, The Marias is highly recommended. The well-known Sonderbar is the place to go out dancing in evenings. A must see is also La Porta, right next to the old village entrance.

Snowboarding in Schladming

In this area there are no less than 5 Funparks. In particular, the area in the Dachstein Glacier is perfect for freeriding and Big Carving. There is a huge halfpipe in the Galsterbergalm, a boardercross and a Funpark. Snowboarders can count on hours and hours of good fun.
