The ski village Mittersill ski area is located in the Kitzbühel ski area in the region Salzburg. Centrally located in Oberpinzgau and close to Kitzbühel is the smaller village of Mittersill. When you have good skiing skills, the ski area of Kitzbühel is fantastic. You can ski many days in a row without using the same elevator twice. For the real experts, there are still a number of challenging off-slope areas. The fantastic snow cannons provide excellent slopes. The ski slopes are centered on 4 areas: Kitzbuhel, Kirchberg, the Jochberg and the Pass Thurn.

In Mittersill there are surprisingly many pleasant pubs and restaurants. There are not that many party people as in Kitzbühel.

Snowboarding in Mittersill

The Kitzbühelerhorn is known as one of the top snowboarding areas in the world. There are also many international snowboard competitions held here. The facilities are fantastic. There is a 450 meter long boardercross course with a height of almost 100 meters wide and a 100 meters long halfpipe.
