A ski holiday in the chic Lech am Arlberg is always with a guarantee of good snow conditions. Allthough Lech looks very luxorious and chic, it is a lovely village wich did not lose its character. Unfortunately it is still not possible to ski directly from St. Anton to Lech. However, the free ski bus from Alpe Rauz (track 17) ensures that you are in the ski resort of Lech within a few minutes. This is included in the Arlberg ski pass. In Lech, the spoiled ski fanatics will find everything they can expect from a great winter sports destination. Usually you see the guests walking around in Lech in the newest and most expensive ski outfits, but you nearly never see these people on the piste. It is all about 'looking and be looked at' in Lech. Lech and Zürs are the cradle of modern skiing, these ski areas are known as the snow Mekka of the Alps.

Slope information Arlberg - Lech

In Arlberg there are about 440 kilometers of ski runs. Almost all the lifts have been rebuilt. This made all queues actually disappear. A ski holiday paradise, with no waiting and very good snow conditions. There are slopes for all ability levels with plenty of variety. There is also a large powder-snow area with perfect conditions for snowboarding and skiing.

Apres ski in Lech

A skiing holiday in Lech is very different from a skiing holiday in St Anton. In Lech, it's a lot less exuberant, but no less enjoyable! In Lech the ski trail begins a few hundred meters above the village in Oberlech (accessible via footpath or Gondola). Here you can enjoy a glass of champagne and other exclusive drinks. Once down in Lech again, it is most crowded in the Tannenbergerhof Hotel or the Hotel Pfefferkorn. If you want to go chic during the winter, go to Hotel Crone.

Snowboard possibilities are great in Arlberg. There are snow parks in St. Anton, Lech and Zuers.

Skischools and ski hire in Lech

There are 3 ski schools in Lech with 300 instructors. The price of a ski lesson is 50 euros per hour. The lessons are available in multiple languages. The slopes are wide and there are great family trips to make. Also very comfortable are the heated seats in the chairlifts. The ski resorts of Lech and Zürs are linked to each other. St Anton is connected by a free ski bus (15 minutes). Please note that these buses can be crowded, especially in the afternoon, so make sure you are on time to take the bus back from the last lift in St Anton.
