The Carnic Alps are in the Karinthie region in Austria. The ski area consists of the ski resorts: Hermagor, Kötschach, Nassfeld and Tropolach.

Most skiers that go to this area use the Skiarena of Nassfeld. This area has 110 kilometers of slopes. The village Kötschach, also has its own small ski slopes with 6 kilometers (1 red and 5 blue) and three lifts. The nearby Nassfeld has an extensive range of slopes with 110 kilometers and 25 lifts.

Snowboarding Karnische Alpen

In 2001 the World Youth snowboarding championships where held in Nassfeld. An ideal location for snowboarders, with a Snow-Cross-Park, a huge half pipe, quarterpipes, high jumps, boxes, rails and much more!
