The charming and very popular Kaprun is part of the Europe Sportregion and has two mountains for winter sports, the Kitzsteinhorn and the Schmittenhöhe (Maiskogel). In the summer, the die-hard snowboarders and skiers can go to Kaprun as well. On the glacier of the Kitzsteinhorn, the snow is always good with 40 kilometres of slopes! Europe Sportregion has 130 kilometers of slopes for all levels and offers beautiful slopes. At the bottom of the valley lies the village of Zell am See, which, together with Kaprun, forms the Europe Sportregion.

With more than 130 kilometers of slopes and even 200 kilometers of trails, there is enough to do for everyone in Zell am See-Kaprun. The experienced ski cracks who are looking for a challenging descent on the Schmittenhöhe can choose from no less than 25 runs. If you have a ski pass for the whole area, you can make free use of the ski-bus from Kaprun to Zell am See.

For a long time the Zell am See-Kaprun has been a snowboard Mecca whit 1 halfpipe, 2 funparks and 5 quarterpipes! All very easy to reach with the ski lifts. If you're a freedrider you'll enjoy the Magnetköpfl' or the 'Langwied' run.
