The Dachstein glacier is a real skiing holiday paradise for the true winter sport enthusiast! Skiers, boarders, tourskiers, hikers, mountaineers and paragliders. You can find challenging descents along the tops of the glacier on the gentle slopes, generally under the full enjoyment of the sun. What we certainly have to even mention are the off-piste opportunities. A real winner! The Dachstein glacier is easily accessible from the ski holiday villages of the Dachstein Tauern area. These include Haus im Ennstal, Ramsau, Schladming, Rohrmoos and Forstau.

Crispy white snow and beautiful wide slopes are guaranteed. The beauty of the Glaciers areas in Austria is that they offer many possibilities for skiing for the less experienced or even for novice skiers. There is often a varied range of slopes in combination with good ski schools. The biggest Glacier area is the Stubaier Gletscher with more than 100 kilometers of slopes for all levels. In total, Austria offers more than 300 kilometers of slopes on Glaciers.
