For my first visit to Gerlos during the 2007/08 Winter I found it a very enjoyable place. A good mix of slopes for all standards and plenty of snow on all of the slopes except on the lowest during slightly warmer days in the afternoon. Great facilities with lots of choices. Apres ski: Just a blast. Lots of bars to enjoy before crashing in to bed. A highly popular destination with the Dutch but I felt this added to the experience as they love to party and have a laugh. No translation problems. Good ski lifts around the mountains with easy access from the town centre with a ski shop at the base where rental gear and lockers are available to store gear overnight. Nice restaurants on the slopes serving quality food and beverage. Looking forward to getting back there. Maybe not the easiest of destinations to get to but then this also makes this area better than some more crowded slopes.
