Ski holidays in Australia
A ski holiday in Australia, certainly not the first thing you think of when you're coming from Europe and are planning a journey down under. Australia does have a number of large and several smaller ski resorts however. The ski season is exactly the opposite of that in Europe and North America, with the peak months in June, July and August. The ski resorts are spread across New South Wales and Victoria, on the south-east of this large island. There are also a few small ski resorts in Tasmania. The two most famous ski resorts in Australia are Thredbo and Perisher, both located in New South Wales.
