Ski holidays in Vallecitos

Vallecitos Ski Resort is located in the Mendoza province in Argentina. The capital of this region, also called Mendoza (inclludes a large airport ) called is located just an hour away. There is a small lodge in Vallecitos, but many tourists stay in nearby Potrerillos. Due to the much more expensive prices, for example at the top Argentine resort Las Lenas, Vallecitos is one of the favorites of the locals in the region. The ski season in Vallecitos normally lasts from June to September.

The Vallecitos ski area is located in the Valle del Plata, a valley formed by glaciers. Thanks to its high altitude, the area is certain of great snow conditions. The small Vallecitos ski resort is run by the Mendoza ski club. The Las Morenas ski lift takes you to the top of the ski area, where you have 9 runs with a total decline of 400 meters. There are also some challenging off-piste descents to make down from the top. Vallecitos also some has a few nice cross-country tracks that run across the glacier plains.
